Oak Bridge is a Post-19 provision managed by Oak Lodge School in partnership with Barnet & Southgate College that offers a transition placement of up to two years to help young people prepare for access to further college courses or social service support. Young people attending Oak Bridge register as Barnet & Southgate College students.
Oak Bridge is located separately from Oak Lodge at Frith Grange, Frith Lane, London NW7 1PT. Our own Post-16 department students are already familiar with the site as the school uses it regularly. Oak Bridge students also access new purpose-built SEN facilities at the college’s Southgate campus.
Students are admitted to the Oak Bridge provision following a suitability assessment carried out in conjunction with Barnet & Southgate College and the Local Authority naming the provision on a young person's Education, Health and Care Plan.
Oak Bridge provides a 5-day week curriculum offer. The curriculum is personalised to each young person’s strengths, interests and aspirations. Our programme includes functional skills in English and Maths, independent living skills and access to the community for leisure, as well as vocational skills such as basic food hygiene and first aid. Through travel training and supported work placements we aim to prepare all students for the next stage in their learning and progress into adult life.
