Oak Lodge School, Barnet: Physical Education

Physical Education

Our facilities include a small multi-purpose sports hall, a small swimming pool, a physiotherapy room, an all-weather multi-use games area, outdoor gym equipment and a climbing traverse wall.  The school site also benefits from tarmac access paths that are used to provide cycle training and an outdoor accessible trampoline used for rebound therapy.

We provide students with a full range of sporting activities. The PE department works in close liaison with physiotherapists to ensure access to physical activity for all students.

Students enjoy regular success in sport, representing Barnet in athletics, boccia and swimming at the London Youth Games. Our teams compete successfully with other special schools across Middlesex in both boy’s and girl’s football and cricket.

The school has established regular sporting links and fixtures with a range of other schools and sporting organisations that take place during the school day. These include Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, Saracens Rugby Club and Middlesex County Cricket Club.
